Things can come and go I know but
Baby I believe
Somethings burning strong between us
Makes it clear to me
Baby I believe
Somethings burning strong between us
Makes it clear to me
I wanna die lying in your arms
I wanna grow old with you
I wanna be looking in your eyes
I wanna be there for you
Sharing everything you do
I wanna grow old with you
no words can express the extent of how blissful i am now. we do have petty quarrels from time to time, but what can one expect from a couple that lives together. maybe my happiness does radiate off me - i glow. :)
i swell with the impossibly great amount of love i have swimming around in my life every single day. and i'm so glad and grateful to where chance (and possibly fate) has brought me to.
no, nothing extraordinary has happened this evening. in fact, nothing really special has happened for a long time. all i did was to look at slut's face - my heart ached, in a good way. it's amazing how much of an effect a look can have on me. be it that little crease in between his brows that he has when he dotas, that um chio look he has when he knows i'm spying on him from the corner of my eye, the blank look he has when he watches tv, or the way he looks at me like i'm the whole world to him when he holds me...
i am mushy. but i am living a fairy tale.
Kimmy from My Best Friend's Wedding said that if you love someone, you should shout it out, or the moment will just simply pass you by.
this is my shout out. :)

there's a weird relationship i share with chinese pop songs. for one, i tend to be able to study better listening to chinese pop songs rather than my usual mix of RnB hits. chinese pop songs have a certain calming effect over me and gets me into the mood of studying.
1:26 PM ♥ mademoiselle
Corrine May is another one that really gets me going. i know, Corrine May hardly qualifies as a genre of music, but the feeling that washes over me when i listen to her cannot be achieved by listening to any other artist. so allow me to indulge - Corrine May is, to me, an entire genre of music. :) well, you see, the first time i ever listened to her was in the choir room. the first time i really studied with music was in the choir room with her latest album playing in the background. Corrine May just brings back so much memories. good ones. this feeling of nostalgia cannot be found anywhere else nor from anyone else. it's special to me. and i know i appear retarded to slut when i smile to myself so suddenly, but i cannot help it. i love Corrine May for very unique, personal reasons and she is a memory i cannot possibly erase. nor do i want to erase. i cannot say this enough - i love vjchoir. :)
anyway, i digress. my concern was really chinese pop songs. this reminds me of the pressing issue: i don't have enough chinese songs on micole! it's really annoying. i need more chinese songs! although i am quite happy with Jay Chou's new album and replaying my favourite 4 songs of the cd, i am sure i can do with more variety.
Sing Shi's 石欣卉 first album makes good study songs too. sad songs but i do love the ballads very much.
it's really ironic how i've grown to like chinese songs more only after i came to melbourne. now, that statement sounds remotely familiar... could i have said it before? anyway, this is my blog and i am always repetitive. as i was saying, i believe i now appreciate chinese music more despite the fact that i still find it simple and monotonous. i still stand by the fact that every single chinese ballad sounds like it was ripped off from an earlier version of some other artist. of course, i would leave Jay Chou out since he's really the only chinese pop singer than i admire. i am biased, i know. but no one can deny that even though he does not open his mouth very much and his fringe might be too long, he is immensely talented. fyi, he is starting to sing and speak much clearer now. ;)
i actually enjoy singing K now. it has been a couple of months since i last sang K but i have been secretly craving it.

adrian soon's gone. (not adrian tay - he's just arrived.) he's decided to fly back to malaysia/singapore for good and hope that it'll be a life changing experience after spending 11 unsatisfying years in melbourne. i'll miss him a lot - him and his cheesy smile, his bottle of chivas, his random confessions. it's amazing how we clicked despite the age difference; he is after all 8 years older than me. :) the closest friends i have in melbourne are all surprisingly older than me, with the exception of yiling who is 2 years younger than me. but i love hanging out with older people, only because they are so much more matured. despite the maturity, they're still very fun people to be with - so fun that they can start being as retarded as 14 year olds. and it's this balance they have that i love.when i'm bored, or am trying to be bored in an attempt to avoid brain storming my essay, my brain tends to either go into a blank or churn out random thoughts. at the moment, i'm just thinking about people and their different personalities.
because i was just snapped at rudely for accidentally disturbing a dota game with my long, black hair when i bent forward across slut's computer table to reach into my vanity case, i am unhappy. and i was reminded of our dear chanel - chanel the person, not the wonderfully pretty brand of course. i've discussed this particular person on my blog multiple times. but just for a little refresher, chanel derives pleasure from putting people down for reasons no one can understand except for herself. i can never understand why people enjoy doing that. chanel is a slightly more extreme example, but i'm sure a tiny, mild chanel lives within most, if not all, of us. so why do we enjoy doing that? does putting others down give us the illusion that we're now on a higher pedestal? it's just so weird isn't it, that we feel better only at the expense of people around us.
speaking about unhappiness, i was quite upset late this afternoon. due to the fact that slut was sitting at the couch which is positioned at an angle that would allow him to have full view of what i was doing on my laptop, i couldn't blog. yes, i don't like people to look over my shoulder while i write - be it essays, blog posts, chats. so, i ripped a piece of paper out of the back of my Popular exercise book and started scribbling frivolously. i'm glad i'm the sort of person who forgets after venting. i forget emotions that overwhelm me at the moment which in turn numbs me. so, in a way, i'm kind of easy to "handle".

i think Guy Sebastian's Beatle's medley is kinda nice, albeit a little horrible towards the end.
well, i'm yet again behind schedule with my assignments. i get the whole marketing shit and i kinda understand the core concepts involved. but i just cannot put it into practical form. i got to get my stuff together and write something to get the momentum going.

i love it when rory transports her toys from room to room. she's been having that habit since she was a baby. oh man, looking at her grow makes me feel so proud. :)i'm upset. i failed some stupid online referencing test for psychology. stupid stupid. sure, it's only worth 5% and by only scoring 8/20, i have effectively only lost 0.03 marks, but it's more than just marks. how could i have failed some stupid referencing exercise?! gosh...
anyway i realised that my arm flex thing really helps. i hope i get pretty toned arms soon. plus it's a really good tool to use when i'm frustrated.

pussycat dolls always make me feel bad. watching them is my best motivation to work out. forget about the faces, they have hot bodies la! so envious can. :(
i'm getting an exercise ball. and i've used my flex tube exerciser more than 3 times already since i bought it. i'm happy that i'm making full use of the $5 i spent. i must must must tone up - i recall saying this many times. to many times for me to keep count. well, i hope that this time it'll really happen.
i was just telling ed that the last time i actually put in super a lot of effort to tone up was back when i was 16. it's been 4 years since i bothered!
blah.
i've decided not to get the abs gadget thing. the exercise ball will work just fine. save space. :)
i don't know why i need so many exercise thingies in my house when i have a perfectly equipped gym just downstairs next to the pool. although i must say that it's so much less embarrassing working out at home at my own pace without having to subject myself to fellow gymers' scrutiny. especially when i'm so slow and take a break every now and then. heh.
i am very weak!
we are all victims of the media. ok fine, i shall not speak for everyone.

i feel bad for falling asleep post steamboat last night at mario's place. they were just chatting and watching meaningless soccer and there i was, snoozing on the arm chair. well... i was really really tired having only slept 3 hours earlier that day. the beer really did not help either. yes, i finally drank beer. :) but it was horrible - Little Creatures Bright Ale. this is not the first time i've said it but i'm going to say it again. Pale Ale is so so so much nicer. oh well.i woke up about 15 mins ago having had a rather weird and disturbing dream.
i dreamt that my mom, sis and i were at this skincare/cosmetics shop. we were looking at deodorants that were personalised to each and everyone's birthdates. so you can imagine, there were like 365 different deodorants all lined up according to days in the calendar. because it's so personalised, it was supposed to be more effective. oh yeah, each bottle was selling at $7 - i'm weird, i even remembered the price, but then again, it is a weird dream.
so after contemplating for the longest time ever, i put down the deodorant that said 3 october and started looking for other stuff that i could buy. i decided on red nail polish and started trying it on my left thumb by holding the applicator in my right hand. after the first coat, i realised that my mom and sis were paying up. after the second coat, they walked past me and were exiting the shop. so i quickly finished up and went to the counter to pay for the exactly bottle i was using before.
some how, once i reached the counter, my grandma appeared. at this point, my mom and sis were already outside the shop waiting for me. i can't remember how the payment went, but i vaguely remember the cashier sealing some transparent packaging and handing the nail polish back to me. of course, i did say hi to my grandma. but once i did, my grandma asked me "can i borrow your shoulder?" and naturally, i said okay. in my dream, my grandma had a weird way of crossing one of her legs while standing up - how she managed that, i have absolutely no idea.
so, her head was on my shoulder. then, she started crying! she started crying and pouring out her sorrows to me. she said things pertaining to her relationship between her and my mom. it was full of regret, confusion and slight resentment. it was everything that my mom and i feel towards each other. there were a lot of whys that i could not answer my grandma but my heart ached just listening to her. she only had to utter one line: "oh, you could not possibly understand..." i laughed.
of course i understand! what nonsense. and so, in my dream, i told her "you have no idea. what you're feeling now is exactly what mom and i share. we have the same weird relationship that you and mom have."
of all things, my grandma then said "okay. i'm so glad you understand." and then continued sobbing on my shoulder.
then, i remembered slut walking into the shop to look for me. i don't know what my boyfriend was doing in the picture but he turned around and walked back out after seeing the situation. and then i woke up.
it's so weird! i never dream about my grandma. plus, as ridiculous as this dream might be with all the personalised deodorants, i think it has a message. i've always known that the women in my family share the same dysfunctional relationship. but i never expected such a confession - well, at least in my dream.
how how how how odd!

You are very conservative around people you don't know, but if you are comfortable in a situation you REALLY know how to let loose. You consider your intelligence to be your greatest asset and are not afraid to show that to other people. This can make you come off as somewhat 'stuck-up'; but let's face it....you do think you're better than everyone else. You have a flair for sophistication and can be a really great party host. You tend to over analyze your physical appearance and can be a bit TOO organized at times.
this has to be the best facebook survey ever. five questions just summed up my personality in a few lines.

i just finished a session of mahjong and i lost all my buy in which was worth AUD50. even though i was the biggest loser, i still thoroughly enjoyed the game. i realised that i'm not the kind of person who will put on a black face when i'm not winning. we all play for fun anyway. to turn the session into a money making venture is not the way to treat the game.
9:23 AM ♥ mademoiselle
after checking facebook, i came to the conclusion that all my friends drink. it may be for social reasons or just pure addiction to alcohol, but most, if not all, my friends consume alcohol. parents should stop being so shocked and appalled that their children drink. it's perfectly normal. but that's not to say that it's a good habit, of course.
i think i am secretly (or not so secretly actually) an alcoholic.
i'm not sure whether i blogged this before or not. but since i have the tendency to be repetitive and naggy, i shall just blog it anyway.
i love beer. i enjoy drinking alcohol and the high of it. which would explain why slut and i both think that my liver is failing - the intense downing of shots and endless consumption of beer has finally taken a toll on my liver. two months ago, i started realising that my alcohol tolerance rate has decreased significantly to the extent that i get high after two Coronas. i'm not boasting my ability to drink in huger than normal quantities because it's really not a good thing that i'm an alcoholic. two Coronas is fucking little considering that both slut and i know that i can drink soooo much more. that's a sign. big sign. apparently, the exact same thing happened to slut's friend Ian. his alcohol tolerance rate suddenly dipped. when that happened, he didn't stop drinking, thinking it was not a big deal. then one day, BAM! he collapsed with severe liver pain and ended up being admitted into hospital. he remained hospitalised for a significant number of days. three to five days, if i'm not wrong.
and so, i've abstained from hard core drinking for two months already and only occassionally drink a few glasses of white wine from time to time. i'm feeling healthier now, to be honest. i have less random break outs on my face due to late nights spent clubbing and drinking and (occasionally) getting wasted. i'm feeling more motivated to do my school work, and i actually have time to do important things like spend time with my babies - play with them, give them treats, watch TV with them, etc. yes, dogs are very much like kids and do demand a lot of attention, care and concern. they do watch TV too. i love my babies. :)
my blog posts are getting lengthier. i'm not sure whether i'm getting more naggy or simply getting more random with the topics i choose to blog about. although i do think that the stuff i blog about are more and more coherent and do make much more sense that before. at least i don't blog stupid things like attempted tries at poetry, rhymes and haikus anymore - i did give a shot at being poetic when i was in secondary school as a troubled, lovesick and angsty teenager. then again, back in those days, i was vaguely depressed and did have suicidal thoughts. so all stupidity should be forgiven given that i did not kill myself and survived till today. haha, it's so funny when i think back at my past and the ways i try to express myself. i did write a lot of poetry back then. i did so not only on my blog, but everywhere, especially in my personal organiser which i carried everywhere i went and decorated with colourful glitter pens. some of them were pretty good i think.
oh well, we all have our embarrassing experiences as teenagers. for now, i'm just too tired after staying up all night to play mahjong and i shall sleep now in order to wake up in time 3 hours later to go Victoria Market to buy meat and seafood. :)
it is 10 degrees celcius outside. cold.
i hope i get some studying done this afternoon. good morning, world!

men should stop pointing fingers at women, accusing them of being feminists. i am not a feminist, but men bring out the feminist in me. i don't have ridiculous demands of men and the way they treat women. let me give you an example that just made me really really mad.a man compared the first time he had sex with the first time i had sex. not the experience, but the age. obviously his virgin experience occurred when he was younger than me, which is fine by me because when you lose your virginity is really not important. even if you only have sex at 30, it's fine as long as it is what makes you happy. so he went on to comment that i was young when i lost mine. i reminded him that he lost his when he was younger. he then went on to say:
"but you're a girl. it's different."
firstly, what is so different? his argument was that girls are always on the losing end. say, if a boy and a girl were in a dark alley and the girl accuses the boy of having molested her, obviously the police will charge the boy. fine, that sounds fair enough. but it really isn't why i was so angry.
secondly, he had sex at a younger age than when i first had sex. and it is okay that he did it then. just because he's male. so my argument is, unless he's gay, which he is obviously not, he must have had sex with a girl. and that means that she would have been about his age, if not younger. if he was already passing judgement that the age i first had sex, what about the girl who first had sex with him then? she must have been younger than me. which would make her even more condemnable! does that mean that when he first had sex with her, he wasn't treating her seriously like a girl/woman should be treated? does that mean that he was not giving her the due respect that heshould have given her? does that mean that he was only treating her as a fuck buddy with whom he just wanted to lose your virginity with?
it angered me knowing that he is yet another one of those guys who do not respect women.
i do not seek equality. i just want men to give women the right treatment. i am not looking for equal pay opportunities. i am not demanding that men stay home while women go out there and pursue their careers. i am not making demands that would change the face of society all together. all i am saying, is that men need to know how to treat their counterparts correctly. and it all starts with respect.
i am not sorry i had sex at a super young age. it's not something i brag about either. but i am glad that i treated the guy seriously. i loved my ex-boyfriend and i respected him. and i think that's the way to do it.
it doesn't matter how exciting his social/sex life is if he doesn't respect the women he dates. in that case, he's nothing but a scum. how is anyone to spend the rest of her life with a scum like him?

i finished watching season 4 of Grey's Anatomy last night and i must say that i was thoroughly disappointed. firstly, it was so short! there were only ten episodes. previous seasons had at least 15 episodes if i'm not wrong. perhaps the writer's strike might have been the main reason why this season was exceptionally short. secondly, this season lacked so much drama. the characters weren't as scandalous as before, which is a major reason why anyone watching it in the first place. we need our scandals! thirdly, two of my favourite characters did not return for this season - Preston Bourke and Alison Mongomery. i kept looking forward to their individual returns in the future episodes but it never happened which was quite disappointing too. and lastly, the new characters that shared the spotlight with the main cast were not that exciting at all. i especially do not like Alexis Grey a.k.a. Lexi.my media tutor finally replied my email and at least i now know that she has a valid reason for not giving me my presentation partner's email address. it's also comforting to know that i have already informed her that in any occasion that i'm unable to meet up with my partner, i'll be doing my presentation alone in front of the class. that said, i'm pretty nervous. it is my first presentation in uni and in front of a class filled with australians as opposed to commerce tutorials and trinity where the class is made up of mostly asians. i should get started now.
i can't wait for the weekend. i'm dying to go out. slut has been sick this past week ever since he came back and we've therefore been cooped up at home. if this goes on, i won't be able to take it anymore. i am looking forward to the weekend. i pray that it'll be a good one. :)

i do think i forgot to mention that slut made an effort to surprise me by changing his flight back to the original one before the 2 day extension. of course i figured out that he was coming back early and anticipated it hence ruining the surprise. but since his not so sudden arrival back home, i some how haven't been able to totally adjust to his presence again. to put it simply, he's everywhere! for 3 weeks minus 2 days, i had the entire house and 2 dogs to myself. i could walk around naked in the house all i wanted. i could use the toilet without closing the bathroom door. i had social activities a.k.a mahjong sessions every other night. suddenly every thing changed back to 3 weeks ago in just one night. and not to forget, he's everywhere!
don't get me wrong, i do love him and i'm glad he's back. i just don't understand why i'm not fully adjusted.
now that slut's back, there is a change of expectations. when he was overseas, i don't expect him to call every moment or be online all the time just to entertain my every whim and whine. but naturally, it's different now. i do expect him to pour me a glass of water from time to time, watch 27 dresses with me even though i might not be paying attention for a short moment while i dig up juicy gossip from an old friend, or give up sports time so i can watch Whose Line Is It Anyway. because slut is male, and all males tend to disappoint, i have been disappointed of course. my expectations are not ridiculously high. owing to the fact that slut would much rather dota than watching a chick flick like 27 dresses or something as scandalous as Grey's Anatomy or as entertaining as Friends with me, i find that i'm alone at times when i most want him to laugh along with me. anyone who knows me must know that i absolutely hate horror films. however, i did watch most of Jessica Alba's version of The Eye with slut. well of course Jessica Alba's acting was exceptional and i do think that should be her break through movie given that her good looks and exceptionally hot body did not overshadow her wonderful acting skills. anyway my point is, i should not be alone. i was disappointed that slut abandoned me during 27 dresses last night just because i was chatting online for a short while in an attempt to dig out some really juicy first hand gossip - yes i do feel superior now that i'm in the know. :)
but males disappoint. slut would not be male if he did not disappoint. it probably has something to do with my sudden change in expectations. and all i have to do now is to adjust back.

this is a very very long yet interesting post.
i had a marketing test today at 11am. i started studying since 2 days ago. i even woke up at 7am to study! that's something that i don't normally do. i sincerely wanted to score well for this 25%. yesterday, in the midst of studying, Blackboard screwed up and failed to load. my studying was halted. so i went out for lunch with adrian. when i came back home, the server was up again and studying commenced. i took a short 2 hours nap in the evening last night before doing a
n all-nighter. after 4 tea bags of english tea, i was all awake and studying. however, at 7am, Blackboard died again!! with a couple more hours to the test, it was crucial that i had access to the notes at 7am! my safari window then flashed the announcement that Blackboard would be down from 7-9am for it's regular maintainence. i hadn't finished studying yet and i would have if not for the random Blackboard let downs!
it has now be established that i have not completed my studying even though i had relatively reasonable time management.
i decided that since i couldn't be as well prepared for the test as i'd planned to be, i left home half and hour earlier than my usual time so that i could reach the venue earlier to calm my nerves. this meant that i had one and a half hours to get to uni. normally i would only require 40 minutes. i had set aside more than enough travelling time with possibly enough time to buy a sushi roll for break fast before the test.
at the the train station, the announcement was that unlik
e normal days, there would not be a straight train to uni and i had to take one stop down to another interchange and switch to the appropriate train. i've done that before and it seemed pretty reasonable since trains do change their schedules from time to time. so, i boarded the train to Flinders Street train station, one stop down. ONE stop. i was stuck in between two stations for 20 minutes. who ever heard of a train jam?! maybe i just invented that term. but it certainly was what was happening down at Flinders!
when i FINALLY reached Flinders, i went to check the boards
and find out which track i should head to next. the boards were not helpful and very uninformative. half the tracks were listed as "not taking passengers" and "listen for announcement". whatever remained were certainly not where i was heading to. i was already late. it was chaotic all over Flinders; people were just hanging around the boards waiting for any changes or hints of their trains, quite a few just simply gave up and sat down on the floor looking all tired and defeated.
i was already fuming mad that Blackboard died on me so many times in ONE study session. the train problem did not help at all. especially when i made an effort to leave home early! in an angry fit, i called ling and basically screamed my sorry plight into her poor ears. while i was screaming into the phone, people a
round me moved to take a look at who was losing it but really, i didn't give a damn. it was unbelievable how unlucky i was! so eventually, i decided to skip the test and email my tutor with an mc to explain my very unfortunate and genuine situation and either reschedule my test or combine this percentage with my final assessment so that i don't miss out on any chance to score.
so i crashed at ling's place. after cooling down for a bit, ling dr
opped me off at this dodgy doctor at smith street to buy me an mc. we then went for lunch. being in such a bad mood and having such bad luck, i had absolutely no mood to go for my next tutorial at 1pm. so i skipped it. and went for a facial instead at box hill. very therapeutic. especially when i had not slept the night before and the effect of 4 bags of strong tea was already wearing out.
however, this was not the end of my series of bad luck. after the facial, we went grocery shopping like two aunties. we then walked back to the car to put the stuff in the boot so we'd have free hands to shop around some more. while ling was changing heels because the one she had been walking around in was givi
ng her blisters, she slammed the boot shut only to realise a split second later, she had locked herself out of her car. her car keys were in the boot! oh woe! so after calling her beloved fiance jom for help, she rang up RACV who would come down to break into the car and retrieve the keys.
(the breaking into the car was pretty cool. it honestly looked so criminal.)
so the RACV operator told us to wait by this particular junction outside the car park for the RACV emergency service guy to meet us. we were told 10 minutes. the streets were busy with cars rushing off back home because it was
already around 4pm and people were getting off work and heading home. this particular van with a fat, pompous, aussie driver kept circling around, giving us pervertic looks. on his final round before deciding to go away and get a life, he did a whistling kind of pose. i wanted to punch him in the face. but because i was stationary and he was in a mobile vehicle, inflicting him physical pain was seriously not a feasible option for me. and so, after that whistling pose, he turned around for a last, disgusting look and i pointed my middle finger at him. ling laughed out loud. so loud. but i was honestly pissed. with how my day went, i think i had every right not to be provoked when the day was already coming to a close.
both of us came to the conclusion that my bad luck had, at this point, officially rubbed off her.
the RACV guy finally came after 25 minutes. when service men say they're coming in 10 minutes, it usually never means 10 minutes. the car keys were retrieved after a couple of skillful and rather impressive attempts. after dumping my heavy hand bag in the car, we went shopping at Target where i chanced upon a really pretty pair of brown ankle boots that were retailing for AUD39.99 only! ling and i totally loved it. but i was dead broke. when i shared my joy and agony with slut, he said that i should not wear ankle boots because i'd look like an elf. wtf. but my decisio
n not to buy that pair of boots really was because i was dead broke. plus, slut was already bringing back a bag of my shoes that my sister nicely packed for me. so i'd have enough footwear to last me a long long time. anyway we finally left box hill after we each bought a flex tube exerciser for AUD4.99 each. it's time to tone up those arms baby. :) i'm tempted to buy this device that helps with toning up the tummy too. maybe i shall drag slut to box hill to check it out. it's pink too! just like my flex tube exerciser. how feminine. :)
i fell asleep at ling's place while she was cooking dinner. and i'm now back home in my bath robe feeling all comfortable and soft. i hope this bad luck will have washed itself away. i don't think i can take any more bad luck incidents. argh.
this day is really worth all the effort to blog about. i swear i'll be laughing at myself a couple of months later.
p.s. i'm thinking of a kinky girl name for my flex tube exerciser. suggestions?

talk about cheap shots. fucking cheap shots. to be honest, i never expected you to make such smart moves. cheap, but still smart. it kind of stunned me for a while. if we weren't smsing but rather arguing over the phone, i'd have been dumb struck. i take my hat off. somehow, you were successful in achieving what others before you failed to do - make me cry. remarkable achievement.

during dinner with mario tonight, i told him to go to my facebook profile to check a certain girlfriend out. being the obedient mario he is, he really did check my facebook profile out. on top of what he was supposed to check out, he decided what the hell since i'm at it i might as well see all of jamie's pictures. after telling me that he was in the process of looking through all my photos, i decided to look through all 100+ of my pictures online just to make sure i would know 100% for sure what he would be commenting about.

seeing all the older pictures got me thinking again. back then when we were younger, everything was so much simpler. we were friends, and we stuck by each other. now, it's post jc and busy uni period. some friends stick and i can call them BFFs. yet others just choose to split. i was looking at this particular picture and felt quite sad. it's quite tragic that this particular someone decided that we weren't the life he wanted to lead and even went on to throw us snide remarks whenever we coincidentally bumped into him outside. i guess that other friends have make comments that this friend is highly prone to be insincere and pretentious. i tried not to read too much into those comments until i actually experienced the unforgettable "5 minute incident".
with regards to the "5 minute incident", i should have foreseen it. it wasn't entirely his fault but it's obvious to see that i was highly disappointed with this friend. after all that we've shared and been through, i expected more. then again, it's because of these experiences that might have driven him away from me. oh well, people come and go. it's all part of life isn't it.
i think i should loosen up and not be too harsh on everyone. hmmm.

good morning world!
7:26 AM ♥ mademoiselle
i am awake. at normal hours of the day. hooray. :) it's 7.18 am and i'm up up UP! feeling quite cheery too. haha. well, i've got a lot of studying to do and after i get the tests tomorrow all out of my way, i have even more catching up work to do. who ever said that uni was easy? well, they were lying. it's not all that easy. monash is not any where easier than melbourne uni. melbourne uni students are in such denial; they're always in their little bubble. on top of their than very small uni campus, their tests and exams are so much easier than monash. for instance, their mid sem tests constitute of question that we, monash students, do during our tutorials! that's really a big difference in standard man. plus, their lecturers always give them so much hints nearing exams that they might as well not study for the paper at all. no wonder monash students have a much higher employment rate, and much better basic pay offers. oh well. i still believe not being able to get into melbourne uni was a great blessing in disguise. :)
i will now continue studying for my tests tomorrow. my difficult tests. argh. i'm just hoping that erica braidy is not my marketing tutor. *crossing fingers.

xoxo, gossip girl.i bought a "french maid" looking dress from peter alexander intending to wear it to sleep. on second thought, i'm upgrading it to day wear. i just realised that it resembles the dress Blair wore on one of the episodes of Gossip Girl. the dress will look fabulous with sheer patterned black stockings. not fish net though. i can find a nice picture of Blair's dress, i'll post it up. ;) till then!
(supper time. i am going to grow fat again.)
added at 1:21 am. i almost cried.

i've found out the best way to tune my body out of its nocturnal habit is to go without sleep for one night and then go for a full day of school with boring lectures - especially sunday night because monday is my longest school day. so that's what i did on sunday night. i stayed up the entire night with the intention of studying for my marketing test on thursday. i obviously did no studying at all and had a Monk dvd marathon. i watched the entire season 2 of Monk and felt quite happy.

being the night owl i am, i wasn't tired at all the entire night. surprisingly, when i got off the sofa at 9am to prepare for my 11am lecture, i started feeling drowsy. i had a teensy tiny urge not to go to school and sleep instead. but since i had already set my mind on attending all my lessons on monday, i got changed, made up and wore specs to school. i wanted to get krispy kreme on my way to school so that i'd have doughnuts for breakfast and lunch but some how that plan didn't materialise. so i postponed it till on my way home where i bought a dozen krispy kreme doughnuts.
on my way to school, i fell asleep on the train which meant that i missed my stop by TWO stops. two stops doesn't sound like i was a long way off from my intended stop. however, this is australia i'm talking about! and two stops means two different suburbs!! i was on time for my sociology lecture. was. until i was off by two stops. the 15 minutes waiting for the train back the other direction was excruciating in that very empty and lonely suburb. i felt like i was in a village. i wouldn't have been surprised if i saw cows. by the time i got to school, i was half and hour late for lecture. so i went off to run the errands that i planned to do during lunch; i dropped off my overdue book at matheson library, posted slut's oil catch, bought sushi for breakfast and lunch, and booked an appointment at the hair salon. i joined the lecture during its break after having a breakfast share of the sushi i bought.
i skipped marketing lecture in order to get my hair washed and cut. very relaxing and pampering to have my hair washed. :) i chopped about 2-3 inches off and i'm surprising quite sad about it. but i guess it'll grow back. my hair's nicely layered now and even though it's not perfect, i'm glad i finally did i after delaying it for a year! trims are good.
during psychology lab, i fell asleep. on the train back home, i fell asleep too. i was so tired. but i went to bed at 9pm and woke up at 9am this morning. :) normal sleeping and waking hours! i am so proud of myself. :))
i see sun. i see fluffy white clouds. i hear the construction activity on the building opposite mine. i see the normal lives people lead so unlike to mine. the weather is surprisingly warm today. 25 degrees! perfect with the random cool breezes - i am going shopping later. time to wear a pretty dress before the weather turns too cold again.

i've been eating eating eating non stop this week. non stop. maybe it's the winter that causing my stomach to demand food endlessly. judging from the rate i consume food, i think i'll put those 7kgs i lost on my trip back to singapore. speaking about winter, the weather's really changed. with the official change in time difference due to day light savings, not only did we gained back the one hour we lost in summer, it also marked the change from autumn to winter. cold cold. and it's only going to get colder. :( i forgot how cold i could get in winter. brrr.it's 7am now. and i should be asleep in bed. however, i am up. my initial plan was to either study for my marketing test on thursday or to write a very sub standard media essay. it's really shitty because i don't want to submit a sub standard essay. in fact, i don't want to submit this essay at all. but if i don't do it, i'll fail this subject. so handing in a sub standard essay would equate to a fail and a loss of 20%. but it would also mean that i'll eventually pass the subject despite a sub standard essay that won't even make up the word count.

i am a princess this week.it's the post easter week. and i've not been able to fully switch modes from holiday to study. so this week's been pretty much of a self-declared holiday for me. bad bad. essays and tests are piling up and i've just got too much work to do! :(
but being the princess that i am, i shopped yesterday at DFO. :) i'm really happy with my relatively cheap buys. i got a pair of heels from Nine West for only AUD39! and a really pretty pink satin bag embellished with gems for AUD20. and a red knitted dress for winter for a mere AUD20 as well! i am really happy with my buys. haha.
going velour last night was not too bad. the over all turn out was bad. i'm glad that my princess presence got me and edwin into the club/bar free-of-charge. *bow down to the princess. haha. drinks were free for that one happy hour which meant that i didn't have to spend a single cent last night since edwin was nice enough to send me there and then drag me out a couple of hours later to send me home. hooray.
it's rick's house warming tonight and i'm hoping that he's cooked something yummy for my hungry tummy. ok i'm signing off to get ready for mario to pick me up. :)
p.s. i did laugh when i first learnt of mario's name. mario and luigi. haha.

i was just going through some old american idol clips on youtube and came across this particular one of the finals of american idol 5 where the competition was between taylor hicks and katherine mcphee. my favourite was katherine. but that's not my point. watching this clip made me realise how much american idol has come to be like a miss universe pageant. there's carrie underwood, winner of the previous season, singing along with the finalists of the then current season. it's very much like passing on the torch, like how former pageant winners help crown the new winners.i skipped school today out of pure laziness. i ran out of chances to say "i can't believe i cut classes again..." because come on, who am i kidding. it was a conscious decision made and i probably will regret it come next week when i start panicking about my upcoming presentation undone. but for today, i just feel like being a princess. i am dressed in pink and white from head to toe and i want to pamper myself today. (all i lack is a diamante tiara.) and so ling and i are going to have laksa first then head over to DFO to do some good and cheap shopping. i hope i can get a pair of boots today. today will be perfect timing - just in time before winter really hits.

i finally started an account on viwawa last night after hearing much about it. it's nothing too fantastic but one of the better sites to play online mahjong. i find creating my wawa too troublesome actually. not at all cute and fun like how xiaxue put it. some of the mahjong rules on viwawa are quite weird. not at all like how we play. for example, how can someone be allowed to eat a card and proceed to throw that very tile that was just eaten? it's against the rules! there's no point in eating a card to form a series when you already have that card right? that's one rule i don't understand. oh well.my nails are pretty psychedelic red again. i feel happy just looking at them. :)

rory is such a darling. there's such a stark contrast between her and muffy. who ever said that dogs don't have personalities? :) rory, being a girl, is just so much more teh. she goes up to people for hugs and cuddles. that's just so adorable. when i sit crossed legged on the floor as i eat dinner, she almost always walks up to me, crawls on my lap and sits there. i just did crunches on the floor and she came to crawl on my stomach and lay there. well, of course she left after a while after realising that my stomach moves quite a bit while i do my crunches. haha. on the other hand, muffy just plays hard to get. he sits around, within near proximity of where we are, so that we might turn around and stroke his head or give him a big hug. muffy's just the smartest dog ever. no one really believes when slut and i say that. but that's because they don't live with him and therefore don't know the real muffy. boy and girl dogs are like boy and girl humans. they have such unique personalities and i'm really glad i got the both of them last year. i really do count my blessings. :)
